YOU'RE INVITED: SPSG 5th Annual WInter Freeze Gymnastics Meet

Open to ALL! You do not need to be an SPSG student to compete. These events are optional BUT a great way to show your family and friends your new and old skills. Saturday, January 31st!

Locations: The Home of SPSG: 404 Johnson Street. Boscobel, WI.

Rec Meet Details:

What? SPSG gymnastics meets are for ALL recreational gymnasts, cheerleaders or other athletes. It is a fun, quick, low-cost and easy way to give students a chance to compete within the sport of gymnastics. This is a great way to show-off skills to family & friends! Invite anyone to attend. Typical spectator admission is only $5. There is usually a small concession stand AND shout-outs available!! Cash only.

Who? Boys and girls aged 3+ are invited to participate. They do not need to be an SPSG member and they do not need ANY experience to enroll. All children are judged equally. All students receive medals and top 5-7 (per event) receives ribbons!

Events? For only $55, students get to compete and showcase TWO gymnastics events- bar and floor. If your child does not know their level, please contact us for guidance. If your child tumbles but does not have access to train bars, you can still participate!!

Routines? SPSG students learn their routines in class. Non-members can view the routines by viewing the attached PDF. Although its not neccessary, students can get extra practice. Members AND non-members can set up private lessons with Coach Kayleena or Coach Jillian. Just email her at spsgkayleena@gmail.com

**The best part about our routines? No memorization. A coach will stand next to your child while they compete and read/guide them through the routines. This creates a stress free experience where kids can focus on having fun!

Is my child ready? Yes!! These meets are designed for children of all ages and levels. We split students in groups based on age and skill. We award medals to everyone to keep each child encouraged throughout the competition process!!

How do I enroll? If you are a current member, you can search 1/31 in the "Events," tab of your portals. Non-members can use the calendar below. Find 1/31 and click on the event to sign up!

Bar, & Floor routines can be found on the attached PDF. Class levels will determine meet levels.

Why should I compete with SPSG? SPSG meets are unique because they give the child more than one opportunity to compete. At each meet, the student has the chance to compete a floor AND bar routine- two chances to place, two chances to show of their skills AND for a low cost.

Why is their a beam routine listed? Another unique factor to SPSG meets is that we work IN correlation with local HS Gymnastics teams to provide southwest WI students extra, low-cost opportunities to compete gymnastics.

If you LOVE the SPSG meet, we also try and provide a secondary, HS location for our students. We utilize the same routines and scoring systems- it’s just hosted by two different organizations. Other locations uses the beam and floor routine. SPSG uses the bar and floor routine! This allows students to taste three different competitive.

Toddlers participating in the Winter Freeze Meet, ages 3-4, may compete at Level 1. However, they must practice the routines at home or arrange private lessons, as the routines will not be rehearsed during regular classes. The necessary skills for the routines will be incorporated into their classes, but the complete routines themselves will not be practiced in class sessions.
